Does SleepPRO™ work with large email lists?
Email deliverability
Yes. SleepPRO™ is built to send to large lists. Here is how deliverability is protected at scale, and how to get great results with a big list.
1. The sending pools
Senders are automatically grouped into pools based on their email results. This protects the sending reputation of everyone using the shared sending network. See Do you need a dedicated IP to send emails with SleepPRO™?
There are five pools:
- New user: where every new account starts, to build a sending history.
- Low risk: excellent results and high deliverability.
- Moderate risk: average but acceptable results.
- High risk: poor results to improve as soon as possible.
- Quarantine: a temporary pool to isolate risky senders and protect everyone else.
To see your pool, go to Emails, then Statistics. Your pool shows at the top left.
Thresholds:
- Low risk: open rate over 20%, spam rate under 0.25%, bounce rate under 0.7%.
- Moderate risk: open rate 10% to 20%, spam rate 0.25% to 0.4%, bounce rate 0.7% to 1.8%.
- High risk: open rate under 10%, spam rate 0.4% to 1%, bounce rate 1.8% to 5%.
- Quarantine: spam rate over 1% or bounce rate over 5%.
Isolating senders with high spam or bounce rates protects the deliverability of everyone who sends well. See How to improve the deliverability of my emails (advanced tips) for how senders move between pools.
2. How to reach and stay in the low risk pool
Good habits are rewarded.
- Authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. It proves to Gmail and Outlook you are a real sender. See How to authenticate your domain name for email sending.
- Keep your list clean. Only email parents who agreed to it. Remove contacts inactive for 3 to 6 months and bounced addresses. See How to manually clean your email list.
- Aim for an open rate over 20%, a spam rate under 0.25% and a bounce rate under 0.7%. See Good practices for email deliverability.
- Warm up when moving a large list. Start with your most engaged contacts and build up over 7 to 14 days. See Essential steps to import contacts successfully.
Focus on sending parents emails they value, and good results follow.
