How to add a form or popup to your blog
Blogs
A blog post about the 4 month regression is the perfect place to invite a parent onto your list. You can do this with a form inside the post, or with a popup. Both start in a sales funnel.
Step 1: Create an inline form
- Open your sales funnel and click Create step.
- Choose Inline form.
- Click Select on the template you like.
- Click Edit page to open the editor.
- Your form needs at least one form input. Click the input, click the gear icon, and choose the type of information you want to collect, such as first name or email.
- Click your button and choose what happens after a parent submits the form.
- Click Save changes before you leave the editor.
Step 2: Create a popup form
- In your sales funnel, click Add step.
- Choose Popup form and click Select on a template.
- Click Edit page.
- Set up your form inputs and your button the same way as above.
- In the editor, set the delay in seconds before the popup appears on your blog page.
- Click Save changes.
Step 3: Add the inline form to your blog
- Go back to the configuration of your inline form step and click Script.
- Click Copy link to clipboard.
- Open the blog page where the form should appear. Click Edit in the menu, or click the page name.
- Drag a Raw HTML element onto the page.
- Open the element's settings, click Edit code and paste the script.
- Click Save, then Save changes in the editor.
Step 4: Add the popup form to your blog
A popup can show up in two ways:
- Automatically, after a delay you choose. You add it the same way as the inline form in step 3.
- On click, when a parent clicks a link or a piece of text.
To open the popup on click:
- Go back to the configuration of your popup form step and click Create a link.
- Type the text parents will click, for example "Get my free nap schedule".
- Click Copy link to clipboard.
- Open the editor of your blog page and drag in a Raw HTML element.
- Open its settings, click Edit code, paste the link and click Save.
- Click Save changes in the editor.
Preview your page and click your text. Your popup opens.
