How to trigger automations after contacts click links in an email

You can start an automation when a parent clicks a link in your email. For example, a parent who clicks "Tell me about toddler sleep" gets the tag Toddler, and receives your toddler tips.

1. With an automation rule

1. Go to Automations, then Rules, and create a rule.
2. Choose the trigger Email link clicked.
3. Choose the email, then the link.
4. Add the action, for example Add a tag. See How automation rules work.

2. With a workflow

1. Go to Automations, then Workflows, and create a workflow.
2. Choose the trigger Email link clicked and pick the email.
3. Add a Decision and choose Email clicked.

This helps you get to know the families on your list and send each of them what fits their child.
