How to connect your OVH subdomain to SleepPRO™

Connect a domain

Here is how to connect a subdomain of a domain bought at OVH, such as courses.yoursleepbusiness.com.

First add your subdomain in SleepPRO™, as described in step 1 of Integrating your subdomain with SleepPRO™. Each subdomain gets its own CNAME records.

First CNAME record

  1. Open the DNS zone of your domain in OVH.
  2. Click Add entry and choose CNAME.
  3. In the subdomain box, enter your subdomain, such as courses.
  4. In the target box, enter the first value from SleepPRO™, ending in cloudfront.net, with the full stop at the end.
A CNAME record with this name already there? Edit its target instead.

Second CNAME record

  1. Click Add entry and choose CNAME.
  2. In the subdomain box, enter the code from SleepPRO™ which comes before your domain, starting with an underscore and ending with your subdomain.
  3. In the target box, enter the second value from SleepPRO™, ending in acm-validations.aws.

Check your records

Go to dnschecker.org and enter the full name of each record, including your domain. All should show green. If not, review your DNS settings.

DNS changes take 24 to 48 hours to spread fully.
If OVH will not save a record because of a conflict, ask OVH whether the existing record is needed or can be removed.
Still stuck? We are here for you.

SleepPRO™ support is available 24/7 and usually replies within 12 hours, often sooner.
