How to integrate your Mercado Pago account with SleepPRO™

Here is how to connect Mercado Pago, for selling in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia or Mexico.

You will need a Mercado Pago account.

1. Click your profile picture, then Settings.
2. Click Payment gateways, then Connect next to Mercado Pago.
3. The popup asks for your API public key, access token and country. Get these from Mercado Pago first.

1. Create your Mercado Pago credentials

Create an application:

1. Log in to Mercado Pago, click your name at the top right, open the Business tab (Negocio) and choose Your integrations.
2. Click + Create application.
3. Name your application and click Continue.
4. Under Online payments, choose Through a platform for "How did you set up your store?". Add the link to your payment page if you like, and click Continue.
5. In Other platform, enter platform name for Mercado Pago and click Continue.
6. Check your details, tick the box to allow use of your information, complete the reCAPTCHA and click Confirm.

Activate the credentials:

1. In your app dashboard, choose your new app from the dropdown. Your first app is selected for you.
2. Click Activate credentials.
3. Choose your industry and add your website if you have one.
4. Tick the authorization box, complete the reCAPTCHA and click Activate production credentials.
5. Copy your Public key. Click the eye icon next to your Access token and copy it too.

Connect them to SleepPRO™:

Paste your public key and access token in SleepPRO™, choose your country and click Save.

2. Set up notifications

SleepPRO™ creates a webhook URL once your credentials are saved. Register it in Mercado Pago so payments show up in real time.

1. Click the copy button to copy the webhook URL.
2. Open the Mercado Pago developer dashboard for your country, for example mercadopago.com.co/developers for Colombia, .com.mx for Mexico or .com.ar for Argentina.
3. Click Integrations at the top right, and click your app's name.
4. In the left menu, under Notifications, choose Webhooks, then Configure notifications.
5. In the Production mode tab:

• Production URL: paste the webhook URL.
• Recommended events: tick Payments (legacy).
• Other events: tick Plans and subscriptions.

6. Click Save settings, then Save.

3. Currencies and restrictions

• Buyers: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. Cards, plus Pix and Boleto in Brazil.
• Subscriptions: yes.
• Currencies: ARS, BRL, CLP, COP and MXN.
• Your Mercado Pago account must be registered in the country of the currency you charge, for example an Argentine account for ARS.

When a payment fails

• Cards: three attempts at fixed intervals. Contact Mercado Pago support for the timing.
• Boleto and Pix: three attempts, 7 days apart.
