How to create and add a coupon code to your order form
Coupons
A coupon is a lovely way to thank past clients or reward your newsletter readers. Here is how to create one and add it to your order form.
You will need a sales funnel and an order form.
1. Create the coupon
- Go to Assets, then Coupons, and click Create.
- Fill in:
- Coupon name: the name for your records.
- Coupon code: the code parents type, for example SLEEPWELL10.
- Discount type: a fixed amount or a percentage.
- Discount amount: how much off.
- Expiration: the end date.
- Limit of use: how many people can use it.
- Click Save.
Fixed amount takes a set amount off. A $1,000 package with a $20 coupon costs $980. Percentage takes a share off. A $1,000 package with a 10% coupon costs $900.
For subscriptions and payment plans, the discount applies to each payment. A $100 monthly plan with a $20 coupon costs $80 a month.
To make something free, set the fixed amount equal to the price, or use 100%.
Pick the expiration date in the calendar. A date typed by hand does not work.
Leave the limit empty for unlimited use.
With a fixed amount, a Coupon currency field appears. Choose the currency.
2. Add it to your order form
- Open your order form and scroll to Coupons. Click +.
- Choose the discount type and the coupon, and click Save.
- Add a price plan if you have not yet. See How to create and configure a price plan.
- Click Edit page, drag the Coupon element onto your page, and click Save.
