How to add a form field and a form element to your page
Pages
Forms are how parents join your list, whether for your free sleep guide or your waiting list. You can add single form fields, or use the Form element to group everything together.
Add a form field
- Drag the Form input element onto your page.
- Click the field and choose an option under Input type. With Email, the parent is added to your contacts when they submit.
- Use the left panel to style the field: typography, colors, borders, alignment, placeholder color and more.
Add a Form element
The Form element holds your fields, checkboxes and submit button in one container. This makes it easy to build several separate forms on one page.
Elements tab:
- Remove a standard field, such as Phone number, by hovering over it and clicking the bin icon.
- Click a field to edit its placeholder, tick Optional, add an icon or change the design.
- Click the + button to add fields, such as postal code. You can add an extra checkbox or a custom field too. Custom fields are created on your contacts page, see How to add a custom form input field.
- Drag fields to change their order.
Design tab:
- Change the layout, row spacing, background color, borders, spacing, position and more. Some settings, such as typography, follow your page settings.
Actions tab:
- No redirection: keep the parent on the page with a success message.
- Custom URL: send the parent to another page.
- Double opt-in: tick to ask new subscribers to confirm their email.
- In-editor automations: add a tag, subscribe the parent to a campaign or send an email the moment they submit.
Click Save.
You can also choose this exact form in the Funnel step form subscribed trigger of your automation rules and workflows.
To save what parents enter, add a button for them to click. See How to configure a button.
